Dr. Tim Witney

Madeleine George

Madeleine George works as a Research Assistant investigating novel theranostic agents and their role in predicting and overcoming treatment resistance, particularly in lung cancer. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Exeter, which included a year working within Immuno-Epigenetics research at GlaxoSmithKline. Now in the Witney Lab, Madeleine uses positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to identify biochemical indicators of resistance in in vivo models, including the chick CAM model, with the hope that eventually this can be translated to the clinic. Her current work includes data acquisition for an Artificial Intelligence model that will aim to predict therapy resistance in lung cancer.
