- 07th September 2024 – PhD student Deborah Bäcker presented at an event organised by Zurich city, a night of the museums. Title:“Radionuclides: the road from discovery of radioactivity to modern radiomedicine”. The presentation covered basic radiochemistry in cancer therapy and diagnostics. The event featured a mixed audience of children, adults, and students.
- 5th November 2024 – Dr. Jordi Llop was invited speaker at the conference “ III Asamblea de la Conexión Nanomedicina CSIC” (Madrid). Title of the presentation: “Nanomotors in theranostics: From Sci-Fi Dreams to Scientific Realities”. The audience was constituted by ca. 50 scientists.
- 14th November 2024 – our “SMARTdrugs” PhD student Marike Drexler (@TUM) had a stand at the study fair of König-Karlmann-Gymnasium Altötting. The event was organized for the approx. 140 students in their last 3 years of high school. There, Marike could give interested pupils advice on studying chemistry as well as insights into her research on supramolecular radiotheranostics as a PhD student. It was a valuable experience also for Marike!

- 13th December 2024 – Villa Joep Day: Villa Joep is a Dutch patient advocate group for neuroblastoma research. Dr. Alex Poot updated the audience on theranostics research for neuroblastoma. Title of the presentation: “From [131I]mIBG to [211At]mABG radionuclide therapy for a more effective and less invasive neuroblastoma treatment” . Information of the patient advocate group available via: Stichting Villa Joep (https://villajoep.nl) The event featured ca. 40 people, including parents of children with neuroblastoma, and researchers.
- 30th April 2025 – Long Night of the Universities: Prof. Angela Casini takes part in the event open to the public and organised by the students of TUM and LMU in Munich. The title of her lecture is “The Periodic Table of the Elements as the Powerhouse of Drug Discovery”.
