1. Workshop 15-17th May 2024 – “Anticancer Metal Drugs: New Developments And Future Perspectives 2nd Edition”, Donostia, Spain.

On Friday 8th November 2024, Prof. Angela Casini (TUM) gave a lecture on medicinal inorganic chemistry at the 2024 LCC Symposium of Young Investigators in Toulouse, showcasing the importance of “SMART” theranositc approaches. The meeting was attended by PhDs and post docs as well as PIs of the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC) of the CNRS.
  1. On Friday 15th November 2024, Prof. Jason P. Holland (UZH) gave an invited keynote lecture on the next generation of radiotheranostics including the SMARTdrugs concept at the 2024 International Isotope Society UK (ISS-UK) annual meeting in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Talk title: ‘New tactics in radiotracer design’. The meeting was attended by PhDs and post docs, faculty and members of the chemical industry associated with synthesis and chemistry with isotopes and radionuclides. 
  1. On Tuesday 3rd December 2024,  Prof. Angela Casini gave a Plenary Lecture at the Asian Biological Inorganic Chemistry Conference (ASBIC-11) in Guilin, China. Talk title: “Assembling a new generation of theranostic agents with supramolecular coordination complexes”.
  1. GYSS Summit 6-10th January 2025“Global Young Scientists Summit”, Singapore. Attended by Dr. Íñigo Iribarren Aguirre (TUM) and Nina Willnhammer (TUM).
  1. EMIM 11-14th March 2025“European Molecular Imaging Meeting” Bilbao. Many of our scientists participated in the meeting with Posters and Oral contributions, or being involved in the organisation.
  1. LSCCB International Conference 2025 for Drug Discovery and Development, 17-19 March 2025 – Hong-Kong. Prof. Angela Casini delivered a keynote lecture titled “Highlights from the Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry Toolbox for Therapy and Imaging”.
  1. Student-Led Symposia TUM, 7-9 April 2025 – Raitenhaslach. “Metal compounds for biomedical applications”. Members of the SMARTdrugs network took part in student-led symposia, showcasing their work in a number of oral presentations.
  1. 17th Wolfsberg Meeting on Radiation Biology and Oncology, 21-23 June 2025 – Oslo, Norway. Prof. Jason Holland delivers an invited lecture titled “Modern radiochemistry towards the clinic”.
  1. 2026 EIC Women Leadership Program (WPL), 03-04 June 2026 – Brussels, Belgium. Vera Neves, a core member of the GIMM SMARTdrugs team, has been selected for the EIC Women Leadership Program (WLP), an initiative by the European Innovation Council that strengthens leadership, mentoring, and networking skills among top women researchers and entrepreneurs in Europe’s innovation ecosystem. The 2026 EIC Women Leadership Program kicked off on June 2nd with a bootcamp in Brussels, where Vera joined 63 women innovators from across Europe to explore leadership presence, decision-making, and goal setting alongside peers and program alumnae. She then attended the EIC Summit 2026 (June 3–4), Europe’s flagship deep-tech event, engaging with policymakers, investors, and fellow innovators on topics including European competitiveness, scaling deep-tech innovation, and mobilizing private investment. For the SMARTdrugs consortium, this selection opens valuable doors to visibility and strategic connections across Europe’s biotech and deep-tech sectors. With access to leading mentors and international stakeholders, we’re excited about the opportunities this brings for advancing our brain delivery technologies for patients with unmet medical needs.
  1. 4th Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) Workshop. 26-27 June 2026 – Zurich, Switzerland. Prof. Jason Holland presented an invited talk on ‘Preclinical developments in radioimmunoconjugates’ in which SMARTdrugs ideas were briefly discussed.
  1. 46th International Conference on Coordination Chemistry (46-ICCC), 28 June – 3 July 2026 – Odense, Denmark. Prof. Angela Casini and Prof. Jason Holland are invited to give lectures in the special symposium on “Metal Ions in Neurodegenerative Disease” (MIND) on the applications of supramolecular strategies to radiopharmaceutical design for imaging and therapy, and “Metallo-Supramolecular Chemistry Meets Biology”.
